We are back once again. Right now we have a lot of cool things brewing for Reimagine. One of them is our connection with Brian Katz’s Martial Arts school. The school breeds some of the NY Giants, Jets and the ROC Light Heavyweight Champ Ricardo Romero. (Not to mention our very own Director Peter Normandia who is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.) Ricardo is a former Division 1 wrestler and currently 5-0. You can see some of his fights over at http://www.youtube.com/advancedmma.

The first poster we did a movie-ish feel to it to appeal to the fans, the second we went for more grit and appeal to the fighters.

Brian Katz, owner of Advanced Martial Arts (AMA) came to us in need of a better web presence. His business had begun to expand and needed a centralized hub for information. We responded by creating a brand driven Internet solution. Before that we wanted to immerse ourselves in the client’s brand. So we went and trained MMA Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Through it all we got a great handle on the overall feeling of the school, how the school is set up, their target market and not to mention a few bruises. But who doesn’t love a service provider who risks broken bones for their clients?

The site is built around the feeling of a Dojo. One of the main issues was keeping an edgy feel while staying inviting. To convey this we used dark colors, and a gritty feel with sleek minimal designs. We built it CSS and Javascript with some Flash for multimedia sections. (the release of the all flash version is on its way) To drive extra traffic and awareness to the site, we began a virtual campaign releasing instructional MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) videos on You tube, check it out. The school is a great school and the teacher par none. We learned a great deal with this experience, and as we speak we are in the midst of tackling (no pun intended) our next project with AMA, a 30 second TV spot. Stay tuned.

Haylo and Fallout Shelter Productions came to us in need of branding. We have worked neck and neck with this client for 6 years. Haylo is one of those enigma’s, he is a hip hop artist caught in a time of less focus on intelligence and more focus on product sales without seeking new creative pathways. Haylo is an artist from Brooklyn NYC with refreshing smarts, and a confidence on the mic that makes him who he is.

This is the first in a series of Artwork, This is a psuedobrainstorming in action work as it stands and probably will be for some time.

No matter where you are from you have to love NYC. The mix of people and culture is outlandish. This is a project we completed for a high end interior design and contracting company based out of midtown Manhattan named One Design. They came to us wanting something sleek and sexy, flashy and interactive but at the same time calm enough not to disrupt the imagery placed about the site. We worked tightly with interactive Guru Josh Rhode to create this unique site. The site employees all AS3 and utlizes Papervision 3D for the layout that grows at the start of the site. Even more cool this layout will regenerate a completely different layout each time that button is pressed. What we get is a high end site with a sleek feel and efficient codebase that does a wonderful job of conveying the message this company is trying to speak. Check out the site.
